The computer algebra system SYMMETRICA
SYMMETRICA
is a computer algebra system devoted to the linear representation
theory, the invariant theory and the combinatorics of finite
symmetric groups and related classes of groups. It was manly
developed at the Lehrstuhl II für
Mathematik of the university of Bayreuth.
Most of the methods discussed in Construction of finite structures are implemented
in SYMMETRICA. There are some small example programs demonstrating how
SYMMETRICA can be applied for computations concerning enumeration
and construction under finite group action. There is a Html-version
of the SYMMETRICA
manual as well.
There exist some additional files which must be added to the
SYMMETRICA
code for
- Random generation of simple
graphs together with computing their "energy". Download the

Copy these files into your SYMMETRICA dircetory and type make. Some
warnings will occur. Take care that some files will be changed.
Especially the makefile and your old test.c. Some other files
(bruch.c nu.c part.c vc.c) are replaced by updates.
